Okay so as the story goes my mother was given an iPod nano 8G for christmas this past year. She never had any issues with iTunes 7 and encountered some minor inconveniences with iTunes 8 until she was stuck in a spot after multiple updates so that she was no longer allowed to be able to purchase music from iTunes. A tech support call led her to upgrade to iTunes 9. Then only to find out that her laptop is "too old to support iTunes 9".
Granted her laptop is about 5 years old (a gateway running on a 2002 version of Windows XP) however it was taken n for a tune up, updates and a RAM upgrade about a year ago. I thought that simply stripping the computer of iTunes 9 and restoing back to 7 (which my mother so dearly adores) would solve the issue. Sadly i was mistaken. Now iTunes (even version 8) is saying that it in fact cannot read the library because it was created by a newer version of iTunes.
Any help on dorpping down software and keeping my momma's music?
